Seed potatoes and beating mum!!
It’s potato tuber time!
I have decided this year to produce my own potatoes from my mother’s seed potatoes. It’s a gardening version of recycling! There will be no virus or blight as my mum has been growing them for a good few years, so it’s time to spread the family potato!
It’s early summer that I want my first crop, so I’m hoping that mum’s will mature early enough for me to have my way. She says that they will, so I’m full of trust!
We are going to have a competition to see who can produce the most potatoes in a 2ft sq patch, I think she’ll win, but it could be my time!
